Mullin
Jay K. Mullin, 52, of Nampa, died
at home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, of natural causes. Funeral Mass will
be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at St. Paul's Catholic
Church, Nampa, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Service, 1812 N.
Midland, Nampa. Jay was born Jan. 4, 1949, a son of Don and Elizabeth
Elgin Mullin. He was reared and educated in Melba. He was in the U.S.
Marine Corps from 1968 to 1972. He was an aircraft and engine mechanic.
He received several medals including the recipient of National Defense
Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and Meritorious Mast Medal. He married
Susan Cerva on Aug. 1, 1993, in Boise. The last few years he has enjoyed
his computer, grandchildren and his animals. He is survived by his wife,
Susan Cerva Mullin of Nampa; a son, Jonathon Mullin of Boise; a daughter
and husband, Bobbie Lynn and Greg Wheaton of Boise; his mother,
Elizabeth Laughlin of Stockton, Calif.; a brother, John Mullin of
California; grandchildren, Riann, Ashlie, Allyx and Andrew Wheaton. He
was preceded in death by his father. There are many years in these
eyes, that have seen so many things. The gentle touch of my wife's hand,
the pleasure my grandchildren bring. I look to the past and see myself
and the man I have become. Proud to touch the lives I did and I cherish
the paths I was on. Hugs and Kisses, laughs and tears, these moments I
take with me. For these are the things that mattered, to these eyes they
hold the meaning."

James Hugh Maher
James Hugh Maher, 44, of Emmet, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at a hospital in Emmett from injuries related to a work accident.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Potters Funeral Chapel, Emmett. Bill Zabriskie and Roy Coon will officiate. Graveside will be at Meridian Cemetery.
Jim was born Aug. 16, 1949, to George and Theresa Scott Maher, at Nampa, Idaho. Jim was raised and, educated in Jordan Valley, Ore. In his junior year he moved with his family to Mountain Home, Idaho. During the summer months Jim went to the mountains which he dearly loved with his Uncle Jack and. Aunt Ruby. After graduating from Mountain Home High School in 1968 Jim served in the US Marine Corps for four years, and had a tour of duty in Viet Nam. When Jim finished his service time he started driving truck with his Uncle Bud.
He married. Donna Allen of Eagle on May 20, 1975, at Elko, Nev. From this union he has two children, Theresa and Ryan Maher.
Jim has lived in Emmett for the last 17 years, first working for the State of Idaho and then for Barret Trucking for the last nine years.
Jim was always doing something for someone else. If anyone needed help on anything you could always depend on him to be there. Jim enjoyed rodeos and was active in team roping with his son and his daughter.
Jim was a member of Payette River Cattlemen Associations, and Church of Christ Temple Lot.
Survivors are his wife, Donna; daughter, Theresa; son, Ryan; father, George Maher of Emmett; sisters, Betty McMikle of Boise, Ikie Cress of Sandpoint, and Georgia Emch of Coeur d'Alene; a brother, Pete Maher of Boise; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews Jim was preceded in death by his mother.
The family suggests that memorials be made in memory of Jim Maher to Jordan Valley Rodeo Association, c/o Pat Stanford or Payette River, Cattlemen Association, c/o Judy Woody.
